Jeep Compass Night Eagle Edition Launched In India; Prices Start At ₹ 21.95 Lakh

The Jeep Compass Night Eagle is now available in India for Rs 21.95 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Cosmetic improvements include a gloss black finish, a grille, and alloy wheels on the Night Eagle. The Night Edition of the Compass was first introduced in 2020 on the pre-facelift version of the vehicle.

The new Jeep Compass Night Eagle version is essentially an all-black themed Compass trim that receives a lot of gloss black treatment both exterior and inside. The all-new Jeep Compass Night Eagle model has been unveiled in India, with prices beginning at Rs 21.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Even the new Jeep Compass Night Eagle version is simply an all-black themed trim of the current Compass on sale in India, and gets quite a bit of gloss black treatment both on the outside and interior, as we saw on the pre-facelift model. It features a gloss black grille with matching grille rings, 18-inch black alloy wheels, black roof rails, glosses black wing mirrors, and fog light bezels, among other features.

Jeep Compass: What’s New?

A darkened grille, 18-inch alloy wheels, wing mirrors, roof rails, and fog lamp bezels are included on the Night Eagle. The SUV’s interior has black fabric seats with light tungsten stitching and black vinyl door trim inserts.

The Night Eagle is based on the Compass Longitude, which includes a 10.1-inch touch screen infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, automatic headlights, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, among other features.

Jeep Compass Night Edition: Engine Options

Two of the model’s four powerplant options are available on the Night Eagle. The manual gearbox for the 162hp, 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine and the 9-speed automatic gearbox for the 170hp, 2.0-liter diesel engine are not available on this model.

Jeep Compass: Price Hike?

Jeep has hiked the price of the Compass across the board by Rs 25,000. The SUV range currently starts at Rs 18.04 lakh and goes up to Rs 30.97 lakh for the top-of-the-line Trailhawk version, which was recently debuted. The Trailhawk variant comes with a four-month wait time, according to the automaker.

In May, Jeep will unveil the Meridian three-row SUV, which is based on the Compass.

Jeep Compass: The Interiors

The interior of the Jeep Compass Night Eagle variant has piano black inserts, black vinyl seats with light tungsten stitching, and black vinyl inserts for the door trim and IP. It has a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch instrument cluster, dual-zone automatic climate control, hill start aid, all-speed traction control system (TCS), electronic stability control (ESC), and an electronic parking brake, among other features.

The Jeep Compass Night Eagle comes with a selection of tried-and-true petrol and diesel engines. The diesel engine is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder multijet turbo unit with a six-speed manual transmission, while the petrol engine is a 1.4-liter multiair turbo unit with a seven-speed automatic transmission. In the diesel incarnations, however, Jeep does not provide the diesel Compass Night Eagle variant with the nine-speed automatic transmission.

Jeep Compass Rivals:

The Compass competes against the Tata Harrier, Hyundai Tucson, Volkswagen Tiguan, and Citroen C5 Aircross due to its wide price range.
