Ola Electric Sedan

Ola Electric Sedan Teased For The First Time; Images & Launch Details

The ‘Ola Customer Day’ was held near Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, at the site of Ola’s planned production factory. The EV firm debuted a teaser trailer for its forthcoming premium electric car at the event. According to the teaser, the first Ola electric vehicle would be a low-slung sports sedan. The electric sedan boasts a modern design language and a coupe roofline.

Ola Electric has already stated its intention to enter the electric four-wheeler market with an India-focused offering. The business is presently offering the Ola S1 electric scooter, which has been well accepted by customers. However, Ola S1 consumers are experiencing issues with quality, reliability, and delivery timeliness.

The production of the Ola electric sedan is expected to begin in the second half of 2023. Ola is likely to source a pre-existing platform or EV-only design from a global EV start-up. According to speculations in the media, Ola is working on its own platform for its electric vehicle. Ola will be able to keep its costs low and achieve higher degrees of localization as a result of this.

The teaser shows a 3D model of a stylish automobile. The sedan’s front end is quite low. The vehicle has a distinctive front fascia with an LED lighting signature that runs the length of the vehicle. Strong creases may also be seen all around the front. The sedan boasts a sweeping roofline, a sleek tailgate, and sharp taillights joined by an LED bar.

What’s more, Ola Electric’s CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, has announced that more information about the electric sedan will be disclosed on August 15. Ramakripa Anathan, an ex-Mahindra designer, has joined Ola Electric, according to reports.

The Ola Electric car is projected to have a big battery pack of roughly 70-80kWh, which will likely provide a long range. The Nexon EV Max from Tata Motors has a 40.5kWh battery pack that can go up to 437 kilometers, while the Kia EV’s 77kWh battery pack can go up to 528 kilometers.

The Ola electric vehicle is expected to have a range of more than 500 kilometres. The sedan’s price will also rise as a result of this. It is expected to be priced at Rs 25 lakh.
